Thankfully there are few apps for sharing internet through your Pc or Laptop. But all these apps are not best. I tried some of them on my Windows laptop, but most of them treated as a virus by Antivirus software. But luckily, i found Connectify, which is a best popular software to make your windows laptop as wifi hotspot.

Steps To Turn Computer / Laptop into WiFi Hotspot

These steps can be used in any Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 for internet sharing. This will make your device into WiFi router on which every device with wifi access can connect. These devices may include smartphones, iPads, other Laptops, Tablets, Smart TV, etc.

If you wants to convert your computer (PC) or laptop into WiFi hotspot, then you have to buy this device if your PC not having in-built Wi-Fi Feature. Below are the steps to follow:

1. First download Connectify anf install it on your PC/ Laptop. Don’t forget to restart your computer after installing.

2. after rebooting, check whether your computer is connected to internet or not. If yes, then open the Connectify Hotspot app.

3. There you will find 2 tabs – Settings and Clients. From the Settings tab, under ‘Create a…’ click on WiFi Hotspot.

4. In the Internet to Share, you will see a drop-down menu. Expand that and choose the connection you want to share.

5. There you can change other options if you want, then click Start Hot-Spot.

Done! Now you can search the Wi-Fi network on your other device and connect to which names as Connectify-me. Fill the password if you set above and click Connect.

Connectify has a paid version, but you can also install free. In the free version, the internet will disconnects in every 30 minutes and ask for buying paid version. You have to reconnect again to turn your Computer / Laptop into WiFi Hotspot again. The pro version will costs you $25 (Rs. 1,500) for one year and $40 (Rs. 24,00) for full-license.
