How to Restart iPhone or iPad without Power & Home Button


reboot iphoneApple not gives you any direct way to restart iPhone or iPad, and the only in-built way you can do that is by pressing & holding the home & power button together until you see Apple logo. If either of these buttons are not working or broken, then here is the easy way to reboot your device.

#1. Bold Text

There is an Accessibility Setting in iOS devides to bold the text system wide, to make it more easier to read. After changing the settings, it requires your device to get restart, so this is one way to restart iPhone without using the power or home buttons.

Here’s how to do it:

  • Go to Settings & navigate to General >> Accessibility
  • Scroll down to Bold Text setting and toggle it.
  • You will see an alert ‘Applying this setting will restart your iPhone’. Click on Continue.

This will reboot / restart iPhone, and you will see Apple logo and after few seconds, your lock-screen will appear.

#2. Reset Network Settings

Other way to restart iPhone or iPad with-out using home or power button is to reset the network settings. Note: By doing this, your iPad or iPhone will forget all Bluetooth preferences, WiFi password, , etc.

Here’s how to do it:

  • Go to Settings & navigate to General >>Reset
  • Tap on Reset Network Settings, enter your pass-code (if asked), and confirm it once again to reboot your device.
